Senior Art Director | Full-Time

Howerton+White is seeking an innovative, strategic, and multidisciplinary Sr. Art Director for a full-time position. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and meticulous attention to detail. You must be able to make confident design decisions and be comfortable presenting work to others. Our idea of a good fit means you are constantly honing your craft, absorbing trends, and adapting the wider culture into successful creative, and on-target solutions. We work as a team, so you should enjoy strategizing, conceptualizing, and designing with others, including account executives and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate compelling concepts and develop those concepts into clear design solutions
  • Present concepts and designs to internal teams
  • Represent design and brand look/feel on photo and video shoots while serving as a creative partner for stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with other designers, project leads, photographers, and vendors
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects from concept to completion
  • Execute on-strategy deliverables for various digital and print channels
  • Monitoring projects through all phases of production from initial sketches to press checks

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in an agency environment or other relevant industry is a MUST
  • Passion for branding and an understanding of creating and extending brand identity systems
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, well organized, and resilient to the ever-changing needs of clients, timelines, and deliverables
  • Experience in digital spaces, user research, and user experience a plus

Skills

  • Highly skilled in graphic design, illustration, and visual design
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Proven ability to manage time, deadlines, and budgets across several projects
  • Keen interest in digital products and tech that enhances workflow and/or creative solutions
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills
  • After Effects and Sketch experience is a plus
