How It Started

“Howerton+White began as an interactive design studio, but it didn’t take long for clients to realize we thought way beyond a website or single project. Our approach to advertising is strategic and all-encompassing. We want to know how you answer the phone. [Pause.] You do answer the phone, don’t you?”
— Ken White, Principal and Interactive Director

Howerton+White began as an interactive agency in 2002, established by Nicole Howerton [Managing Partner | Co-Creative Director] and Ken White [Managing Partner| Director of Digital Innovation]. The pair began by providing website design and programming services to other area agencies and clients.

In 2004 the agency expanded into a full-service agency. Bryan Malone [Managing Partner | Co-Creative Director] and Melody Mynatt [Account Executive] arrived, and the four moved into the current space at 520 East Douglas Avenue.

In 2012 H+W celebrated 10 years in business with the completion of an expansion and renovation of its downtown Wichita, Kansas office and the establishment of a location in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

Today Howerton+White specializes in establishing and growing brands. Our clients choose us for our strategic approach to creative solutions and our ability to recommend the right mix of traditional and digital media for specific challenges.
